Rumi Contractor is a Senior Strategic Advisor at Pilus Capital, advising on digital transformation, large-scale operations, and enterprise technology strategy. He brings more than 30 years of global leadership experience across banking, technology, and complex, highly regulated operating environments.

Rumi is the former President and Chief Operating Officer of Quinnox, where he drove profitability, operational scaling, and enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. Prior to this, he spent the majority of his career at HSBC in senior executive roles across multiple geographies, including Europe, the United States, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. His roles at HSBC included Chief Information Officer for Europe and the United States, Chief Executive Officer of Global Resourcing, and ultimately Global Head of Service Delivery and Group General Manager, overseeing more than 90,000 employees and an operations budget of approximately $2.8 billion.

Throughout his career, Rumi has led large, globally distributed organizations through complex transformation programs spanning technology modernization, process reengineering, risk management, and operational resilience. His background combines deep technical expertise with senior operating leadership, enabling disciplined execution at scale.

In addition to his role at Pilus Capital, Rumi serves as a strategic advisor to several technology companies, including The Bank of London, Letsbloom, Buildd, and Qualitia, supporting management teams and investors on growth, transformation, and execution.
