The origin of our name
The name Pilus is derived from primus pilus, the most senior centurion in a Roman legion. The primus pilus commanded the first century of the first cohort and carried responsibility for the legion’s most critical unit.
The first cohort, entrusted with the legionary standard and its gold eagle, represented discipline, reliability and leadership under pressure. It was not a ceremonial position, but one defined by accountability and execution.
We chose the name Pilus as a reference to these principles. It reflects our belief that leadership is defined by responsibility and that lasting strength is built through structure, discipline and trust.
