Our Team

Matthias Prager is an Investment Associate at Pilus Capital, where he focuses on investment analysis, due diligence, and transaction execution.

Prior to joining Pilus Capital, Matthias worked as a Visiting Investment Analyst in Venture Capital at BMW iVentures, an independent growth fund powered by BMW AG. There, he supported the investment team throughout the due diligence process, valuations, and market analysis.

He also gained experience at the Corporate Venturing and Venture Capital Unit of a large German corporate, contributing to sourcing, investment analysis, and strategic assessments of technology companies. In this role, he also was part of the venture development team, building up business models, industry and sector analysis, and contributing to the parent company’s innovation strategy. He also serves as an advisor for a large, US healthcare scale-up.

Matthias brings a strong analytical foundation and a structured approach to investment decision-making, combining financial analysis with a clear understanding of business models, strategic positioning, and execution risk.

Matthias is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Management at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.
